Now, you might be thinking, “Why two stores?”
Well, by having these two stores, we get to do something extremely important in the world of e-commerce:
Testing!
We use That Good Deal as a “general” store to test products to find out what’s selling. Once we find a product that works, we then create a niche store designed specifically to sell it and similar items—like The Auto Swag Shop.
This system is very easy to set up (I encourage you to try it if you’re in eCommerce for yourself).
Doing this gives you an advantage…
If and when one of your stores starts to lose momentum, you have plenty of options for what to do next.
The Gadget Snob put me on the map and taught me a lot, but I’ve had to continue to evolve.
This is a constantly changing industry, but, fortunately, just knowing a few evergreen strategies like having a general store and a niche store puts you way ahead of most people trying to succeed in the eCommerce space.
You actually don’t need a huge team to succeed like I have. You don’t have to be a “tech” person. You don’t have to know how to manage inventory, have a ton of cash available to spend on ads, or have an MBA from Harvard Business School.
You just need to learn the basics of how my dropsurfing business model works, and then you can implement it for yourself and start making money. Pretty simple.
If you’d like to learn how to setup your own Shopify store, how to find the right products to sell on it, and how to market your store with effective advertising, even on a low budget, go to the link below to watch the case study video I put together on these topics:
I will always be grateful for what The Gadget Snob taught me…
Yeah, it was fun to make a lot of money really fast.
But the amazing thing it showed me was that a regular guy from New York, who didn’t come from money or have any special “connections,” could start a successful business and deliver amazing products to people all over the world, just by working for 30 minutes a day from my laptop…
The Gadget Snob expanded my view of what was possible in life. I think this video will do the same for you.
To your success,
Jared Goetz
